Tain Hill Trail Race has been moved to the new date of Saturday 22nd October for 2011. It is an 11 mile (approx) route starting off with 2 miles uphill (all on good, runnable track) then undulating on forest tracks round Tain Hill taking in spectacular views on the way and finishing with 1 mile downhill on tarmac road. It starts at TRACC (at the back of Tain Academy) on Hartfield Road and finishes outside Carnegie Hotel on Viewfield Road. There is also an 11 mile walk taking in the same route and a 4 mile Fun Run/walk open to all ages so this is very much a family event. Those who wish can request a sponsor form to raise funds for CLIC Sargent (Caring for Children with Cancer) but this is optional. However we would urge those not raising sponsorship to make a donation on the day. Since the inaugural race in 2004 we have raised over £8,000 for the charity.
