Tain Hill Trail Race has been moved to the new date of Saturday 22nd October for 2011. It is a 12 mile (approx) route starting off with 2 miles uphill (all on good, runnable track) then undulating on forest tracks round Tain Hill taking in spectacular views on the way and finishing with 1 mile downhill on tarmac road. It starts at TRACC (at the back of Tain Academy) on Hartfield Road and finishes outside Carnegie Hotel on Viewfield Road. There is also a 12 mile walk taking in the same route and a 4 mile Fun Run/walk open to all ages so this is very much a family event. Those who wish can request a sponsor form to raise funds for CLIC Sargent (Caring for Children with Cancer) but this is optional. However we would urge those not raising sponsorship to make a donation on the day. Since the inaugural race in 2004 we have raised over £8,000 for the charity.
